ECON-662 Development Microeconomics (3)


Examines the meaning and measures of economic development. Explores theoretical and empirical work of development issues at micro and meso levels. These include poverty traps, coordination failures, credit and labor market imperfections, microcredit and cooperatives, health, human capital accumulation, gender, population, property rights, and transaction costs, and the economics of the household.
