BIO-478 Computational Genomics (3)This course investigates the computational methods that allow us to extract biological meaning from sequence data. Topics include next-generation sequencing, genome assembly and annotation, transcriptomics, comparative genomics, epigenetics, repetitive sequences, and (non) coding DNA. Students work with real data and perform genomic computational analysis. Crosslist: BIO-678. Usually Offered: alternate springs (even years). Prerequisite: junior standing. |
