ETHC-630 AI Ethics (3)

This seminar introduces ethical reasoning and applies it to contemporary artificial intelligence (AI) systems and sociotechnical infrastructures. The course builds ethical fluency (core concepts, major normative theories, and professional responsibility). The course focuses on major AI ethics topics including bias and discrimination, privacy and surveillance, transparency and explanation, accountability and governance, safety and robustness, labor and power, and generative AI harms, paired with a hands-on ethics audit project.
