STAT-203 Basic Statistics with Calculus (4)


An introductory statistics course for students who have completed one semester of calculus. The course examines how to collect, organize, analyze, and present data. Topics covered include graphical data analysis, descriptive statistics, simple linear regression, methods of data collection, basic probability, sampling distributions, and statistical inference. Statistical software is used to analyze data sets and explore statistical concepts. AU Core Foundation: Quantitative Literacy I. Usually Offered: fall and spring. Prerequisite: MATH-221 . Restriction: Registration not allowed in both STAT-203, and STAT-202  or STAT-204 . Note: Students may not receive credit toward a degree for both STAT-203, and STAT-202  or STAT-204 .
