STAT-160 Statistical Reasoning (3)


This course introduces empirical investigations in real world contexts. It covers basic study design, data visualization and summary, the role of uncertainty and probability in decision making, and principals of statistical estimation and testing with emphasis on concepts and their applications. The course also introduces statistical software to demonstrate concepts. AU Core Foundation: Quantitative Literacy I. Usually Offered: fall and spring. Note: No credit toward mathematics or statistics majors.
