This course introduces the basic approaches to surveys, including simple random, systematic, and stratified sampling. Also included is the design of questionnaires and the analysis of sample data. Emphasis is on the practical application of sampling. Usually offered alternate falls. Prerequisite: STAT-202  or STAT-203  or STAT-514 , or equivalent, or permission of instructor. Note: Students should consult the department for advice and placement testing for appropriate mathematics and statistics courses.
