This course is devoted to analyzing different strands of radical political thought within some Latin American revolutionary movements, such as Shining Path (Peru), Sandinismo (Nicaragua), Montoneros and Peronismo (Argentina), and Zapatismo (Mexico), with particular emphasis on their close relationship with cultural production and local indigenous communities. Usually offered alternate falls. Prerequisite: upper-level undergraduate Spanish course, or proficiency in Spanish.
