This course provides an introduction to the theories and principles applicable to English language teaching, including a review of the communicative approach and other approaches used in language teaching. The course also provides opportunities for peer teaching, observing English as a foreign language (EFL) classrooms, tutoring, or teaching EFL. Throughout the course, students research a relevant topic of interest in order to write a literature review to inform future instructional practice in EFL teaching. May be taken A-F only.
