Fundamental technical and aesthetic considerations involved in visual media production. Through projects in audiotape, 35mm slides, and small format video that are critiqued in class, students learn the principles and procedures of sound recording and editing, cinematography, editing visual images, and preproduction planning. Usually offered every term. Prerequisite: admission to graduate film program.
