Description and analysis of the physical phenomena of the earth's atmosphere. Mechanics, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics of the atmosphere, quantitative analysis of climatic fluctuations and their impact on ecological and economic systems. Climatic changes and climatic control: ozone depletion and greenhouse gases. Usually offered alternate springs. Prerequisite: MATH-211  or MATH-221 .
