This course covers topics historically taught in inorganic chemistry, including bonding theory, molecular symmetry, spectroscopy, acid-based chemistry, coordination chemistry, and eletrochemistry. It also covers modern applications of transition-metal catalyzed reactions, metals in biology, and solid-state chemistry. Meets with CHEM-650 . Usually offered every fall. Prerequisite: CHEM-320 . Corequisite: CHEM-482 .
