(FM) In this interdisciplinary course students improve filmmaking skills including pre-production, camera operation, lighting, sound design, direction, and digital non-linear editing, as well as their ability to work with other cultures. Students work in small production teams and with students at Tecnologico de Monterrey in Mexico and other universities to produce documentaries of cultural, social, environmental, or political interest. Students have the opportunity to travel to Mexico, Costa Rica, and other locations as part of international production teams. Usually offered every spring. Prerequisite: minimum 2.5 GPA and senior or graduate standing.
