Biochemistry is the study of the chemistry of life. This course delivers a comprehensive overview of the main principles of biochemistry. In particular, it delivers an overview of the structure and function of carbohydrates, lipids, amino acids, proteins, DNA and RNA; an overview of the functioning of oxygen binding proteins and enzymes; a survey of the function of DNA and RNA and their relationships with proteins; a brief overview of the main principles of signal transduction; and a survey of human metabolisms and metabolic regulation.
