This course examines both conventional and unconventional security challenges in South Asia. Students learn about the multiple dimensions of external and internal security for countries of the region as well as how security challenges manifest in terms of conventional conflict, insurgency, terrorism and organizational crime, and nuclear competition and proliferation.
