PERF-315 Somatic Forms (2)


Introduction and examination of somatic movement forms and their application in dance. Through both solo and group physical practice, the study of history, and examination of theoretical principles, students develop a holistic understanding of the moving body, improving both their efficiency and effectiveness as movers and dancers. Course work includes movement, readings, and other assignments to contextualize the form. Usually Offered: spring. Permission: dance program director.
