Analysis of genomes, transcriptomes, and proteomes. Methods used in the post-genome era to sequence and characterize genomes, including genetic mapping, genome sequencing, gene identification, SNP detection, and comparative genomics. Techniques to characterize genome function including transcriptome sequencing, microarray hybridization, protein profiling, and protein interaction maps. Usually offered alternate falls. Prerequisite: BIO-356 .
