PSYC-468 Alternative Medicine (3)

This course explores the art and science of alternative (also known as integrative, complementary, or holistic) medicine. It investigates the scientific, cultural, and spiritual dimensions of healing, including scientific research as well as historical and global healing traditions. The modern perspective of mind-body-spirit healing is considered in context with specific alternative therapies, including acupuncture, meditation, herbal and homeopathic medicine, bio-energy healing, psychotherapy, nutrition, chiropractic, and more.
