COMM-738 Research for Strategic Communication (3) This course covers quantitative and qualitative research methods in strategic communication. Students learn to use research for planning and evaluating strategic communication initiatives and campaigns. Students learn how to formulate research questions and develop and execute a research design, including sampling, measurement, data collection and interpretation of results. They conduct research projects using methods such as focus groups, content analysis, experiments, observations and surveys. Students apply the results to strategic communication problems and learn about emerging research trends. Usually Offered: fall. Restriction: Global Media (MA) , Political Communication (MA) , or Strategic Communication (MA) .
