SOCY-669 Gender, Sexuality, and Migration (3)

This course is centered on the uses of gender and sexuality in studying migration patterns, immigration policies, and the personal meanings given to these by individuals. The class interrogates the use of gender and sexuality in studying (im)migration patterns and policies and unpacks the relationship between gender and sexuality by looking at various migrations, or movements, between the categories themselves, and also through specific cases of the relationship to citizenship and the state to that of (im)migration and racialization.
