Globalization is a word we often hear, but what does it mean to live in a globalized world? This is a course about the different types of stories people tell in a world that is increasingly interconnected and yet still profoundly unequal. Through close, analytical examinations of films, novels, and narrative forms, students discuss how people, images, and ideas move across borders and how art can help us to understand the many contradictions of globalization.
