Current concepts of the immune response at the cellular level. Structure and function of the T-lymphocyte, B-lymphocyte, macrophages, and ancillary cells. Theories of antibody diversity and the cellular basis of immunoglobulin formation. Cellular aspects of immunologic tolerance, hypersensitivity, surveillance, and clinical immunology.
