LIT-254 Literature and History II: Enlightenment to Realism (3)


Surveys the relationship between literary movements and socio-historical contexts from around 1700-1900. The course addresses the relationships between literary production and scientific, political, and industrial revolutions. It explores literary representations of science, technology, philosophy, psychology, race, gender, sexuality, and the democratization of the social classes.
