EDU-747 Understanding and Managing Behavior (2)


This course presents an overview of behavior management within the framework of understanding the context and function of behavior, while developing systems that promote prosocial behaviors in the classroom. Residents consider the interactions of people, environments, and responses to behaviors as factors that influence student behavior. Residents also demonstrate understanding of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and develop a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) as a method to address challenging behaviors. Grading: A-F only.
