This course immerses students in the extraordinary world of entertainment PR, from Hollywood to the Big Apple. Students explore real-life projects in pop culture that explain the impact of entertainment on U.S. culture and audiences. Students learn the basics of working in communications within the sectors of television, film, music, fashion, consumer products, and lifestyle public relations. Students get a behind-the-scenes look into the fascinating and exciting world of an entertainment publicist as they learn how to plan a red-carpet premiere, deepen industry terminology, work with celebrities, and how brand image impacts spokesperson sponsorships.
