Examines ways to increase firm value through corporate restructuring. Includes the theoretical background on restructuring, valuation techniques, mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, divestiture activities, LBOs, and financial distress. Reviews theory and practice through case analysis and emphasizes valuation analysis and the role of financial markets in each area. Prerequisite: FIN-365 and FIN-368 or FIN-369, or FIN-614.
