Ethnic-based identities and ethnic diversity have been the source of a number of problems in many countries around the world, including prejudice and discrimination, economic under-development, weak accountability, and civil war. This course aims to understand the causes and consequences of ethnic-based divisions and the potential solutions for mitigating them. Note: Prior coursework in statistics, causal inference, or quantitative research methods recommended.
