PHYS-675 Quantum Information and Computation (3)

This course introduces quantum computation from a theoretical and technological perspective. The course starts with foundational key quantum concepts like qubit measurement and control, information entropy, and entanglement. The course explores the quantum algorithms in the context of the quantum circuit model of quantum computing architecture with applications in cryptography, search, and optimization. The course reviews the most promising platforms of quantum computation and other quantum technologies. Crosslist: PHYS-475. Usually Offered: spring.
