International Relations and Business (MS)


Offered by the Kogod School of Business  and the School of International Service , the International Relations and Business (MS) is an online degree program that combines the core skills and foundational knowledge of business administration and international affairs. Students completing the program understand the functioning of the global economy, the policy environment, and the strategy and operations of business seeking to succeed in that economy.

Admission to the Program


In addition to meeting the minimum university requirements for graduate study, applicants must have earned an undergraduate bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a satisfactory grade point average. Relevant professional business and/or international relations experience is desirable. Applicants whose first language is not English must have a satisfactory score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). GMAT or GRE scores and prior work experience is recommended with application submission. The application must include a transcript, résumé, essays and letters of recommendation.

Students are admitted to the International Relations and Business program for the October, January, April, or July term start dates.

Degree Requirements


  • 36 credit hours of approved graduate coursework
  • Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA required to remain in good academic standing and to earn the degree
  • Capstone Experience: 1.5 credit hours of coursework in Strategy in the Global Economy
