Degree Requirements
- 30 credit hours of approved graduate coursework including thesis or nonthesis option requirements
- Capstone Experience:
- Nonthesis Option: MATH-690 Independent Study Project in Mathematics (1-6) (3 credits required) on topic to be chosen in consultation with a faculty member, requiring an oral and written presentation of the research, and 9 credit hours of electives, with all coursework completed with grades of B or better
- Thesis Option: MATH-797 Master’s Thesis Research (1-6) (6 credits hours required) and an oral defense of thesis, and 6 credit hours of electives, with all coursework completed with grades of B or better
Fundamentals of Mathematics (3 credit hours)
