Applied Microeconomics (Graduate Certificate)

Admission to the Program


Open to students with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Applicants to the Applied Microeconomics (Graduate Certificate) must complete ECON-300 Intermediate Microeconomics (3) , ECON-301 Intermediate Macroeconomics (3) , MATH-221 Calculus I (4) , and STAT-202 Basic Statistics (4)  or STAT-203 Basic Statistics with Calculus (4) , prior to enrollment in the program. Prerequisites may be waived for qualified persons with comparable prior education or experience.

Certificate Requirements


  • 18 credit hours with grades of C or better, including at least 6 credit hours at or above 600-level
  • All courses must be taken for grades (the pass/fail option is not permitted)
  • Compliance with all regulations for a certificate (Graduate Academic Regulations 4.11 5 , 6 )
