Project Monitoring and Evaluation (Graduate Certificate)

Return to: Academic Programs
Offered by the Office of Graduate & Professional Studies , the four-course Project Monitoring and Evaluation (Graduate Certificate) equips students with the technical skills necessary to design and implement project-based M&E, focusing on donor-funded projects, particularly those serving the needs of developing countries, transitioning societies and emerging economies. This in-depth program follows the project cycle, from M&E plans within a proposal, to mid-term, final, and impact evaluations (input evaluation, process evaluation, outcome evaluation, and impact evaluation). The certificate also provides qualitative and quantitative technical skills for M&E; comparisons of differing donor requirements and approaches; and knowledge of project finance issues as they relate to M&E. Although the certificate would be useful to anyone managing donor-funded programs in the nonprofit sector, the program is meant to target the unique set of M&E circumstances and challenges surrounding internationally funded projects in developing countries, emerging economies, and transitioning society contexts.
