Measurement and Evaluation (MS)

Offered by the Office of Graduate & Professional Studies , the Measurement and Evaluation (MS) is a fully online, 30-credit hour degree program geared toward career-changers and mid-career professionals in technical fields seeking to develop skills in planning, monitoring, and evaluating projects in order to increase the effectiveness of interventions and maximize the impact of limited resources. This multi-disciplinary degree reflects the increasing need for organizations in all sectors to establish evaluation, monitoring, and reporting systems demonstrating the impacts of their programs, projects, and policies. The program emphasizes practical assessment needs in the corporate, non-profit, and governmental spheres for donor-driven projects in sectors including technology, finance, healthcare, and energy. The curriculum’s relevance and applicability to the workplace has been ensured by a council of professionals on the cutting edge of the planning and evaluation field, providing advice on competencies, standards, and industry trends. Students taking two courses per semester may complete the program in 20 months.

Admission to the Program
In addition to meeting the minimum university requirements for graduate study, applicants must have earned an undergraduate bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a satisfactory grade point average. Applicants whose first language is not English must have a satisfactory score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Students are admitted to the Measurement and Evaluation (MS) program in the fall, spring, and summer terms. Field/Professional (9 credit hours)
