Key Leadership (Undergraduate Certificate)


Administered jointly by the Department of Government  and the Department of Justice, Law and Criminology , School of Public Affairs , and modeled after the Key Executive Leadership Program, the Key Leadership (Undergraduate Certificate) focuses on developing the foundational skills, knowledge, and values needed for future public and non-profit leaders. In this certificate program, students learn to solve complex problems, increase their resilience, connect with stakeholders, and create a continuous learning loop of self- and program- reflection.

Admission to the Program


Incoming students in the School of Public Affairs  are invited to apply to the program.

Certificate Requirements


  • 12-15 credit hours with grades of C or better, including at least 6 credit hours at or above 300-level
  • Compliance with all regulations for a certificate (Undergraduate Academic Regulation 10.3 )

Course Requirements
