Admission to the Program

In addition to meeting university requirements for graduate study, preference is given to applicants who have a minimum of six months intercultural and/or international experience as either a student or professional. Applicants are also required to submit two letters of recommendation from persons able to evaluate the applicant’s potential for graduate study in international training and education and their intercultural experience. All students whose first language is not English are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

Capstone Experience: EDU-685 Proseminar in International Education (3)

Required (9 credit hours)

Social Science Research Methodology (6 credit hours)

Methods I

EDU-610 Overview of Qualitative and Quantitative Research Strategies (3)

Methods II

Complete 3 credit hours from the following:

Electives (12 credit hours)

Complete 12 credit hours from the following, or other courses as approved by advisor, with at least 6 credit hours in the School of Education :

Note: SIS-628 Advanced Topics in International Communication (1-3) will not count toward the degree.
