Formal admission to the major requires a grade point average of 2.00 (on a 4.00 scale) and the approval of the program director.

  • 71 credit hours with grades of C or better, including at least 30 credit hours at or above 300-level

Capstone (3 credit hours)


Complete 3 credit hours from the following, or other capstone courses approved by program director:

Note: A maximum of 3 credit hours from NEUR-390 Independent Reading in Neuroscience (1-6)  and NEUR-490 Independent Research in Neuroscience (3)  may count towards major.

Upper-Level Electives (15 credit hours)


Note: Coursework from other departments (e.g. CHEM , CSC , STAT ) may be substituted with approval of program director.

Complete 3 credit hours from the following, or other BIO  coursework at or above 400-level approved by program director:

Complete 3 credit hours from the following, or other PSYC  coursework at or above 300-level approved by program director:
