HLTH-440 Advanced Epidemiology (3)


Epidemiology is the study of the patterns and determinants of disease in populations. This course provides an advanced learning in quantitative issues that arise in the planning, analysis, and interpretation of epidemiologic research studies. Sources of study design errors including the influence of chance, bias, confounding, and effect modification are also discussed. Concepts about disease surveillance and screening, statistical analyses, and causal inference applied to public health practice are also included. Usually Offered: spring. Prerequisite/Concurrent: HLTH-340 .
