CORE-106 Complex Problems Seminar (3) Topics vary by section. This required seminar for all students during their first year at American University demonstrates the value of approaching important conceptual problems and social issues from a variety of perspectives, often from multiple disciplines and including multiple voices. Students are introduced to the importance of incorporating diverse perspectives, clear communication, critical reading, and working with feedback. The seminars feature discussions, lectures, collaboration, and integrative learning. AU Core Foundation: Complex Problems. Usually Offered: fall and spring. Grading: A-F only. Note: Students may not receive credit toward a degree for both CORE-106, and CORE-105 or CORE-107 .
