ECON-661 Survey of Economic Development (3)

This course surveys selected issues and debates in the field of development economics at both the micro and macro levels with an emphasis on policy applications and data analyses. Course topics may include poverty, inequality, gender, health, economic growth, trade, finance, employment, debt, exchange rates, and macro policies in developing countries. Usually Offered: fall and spring. Prerequisite: ECON-603, or ECON-600 and ECON-601. Note: Intended for master’s students from other teaching units. No credit toward Economics (PhD).
