COMM-663 Techniques and Aesthetics of Editing (3)

This intensive hands-on course covers post-production techniques for promotional, documentary, and fiction films through a variety of video editing assignments. Students develop their technical and storytelling skills by editing a short promotional video for a network TV program. Additional projects explore Hollywood continuity style or offer the opportunity to edit a short documentary. The class includes an online tutorial covering the basics of Adobe Premiere Pro editing software. Restriction: Film and Media Production (MA), Film and Media Arts (MFA), or Games and Interactive Media (MFA).
