GOVT-304 Living With a Disability (3)

With one in four people in the United States, or approximately sixty-three million Americans, living with a physical or developmental disability, governmental and educational infrastructures are becoming overburdened providing services to what is now termed the “new normal” in American life. This course explores the everyday challenges of those living with disabilities, their need for governmental and private assistance, their fight to be their own best advocates, and how the Americans with Disabilities Act became a lifeline for those living with disabilities.
