GOVT-454 Athlete as Political Activist (3)


This course explores the history and evolution of sports and athletes as agents of social and political change. The course follows an interdisciplinary approach, combining historiography, social science, law, and social movements. The course highlights and explores the relationship between sports, politics, and athletes and others from the world of sports who use their platform to promote economic, social, and political reform. Usually Offered: spring. Grading: A-F only. Prerequisite: junior standing.
