GOVT-182 First Amendment Moot Court (1)

In this practicum, students boost their reasoning, listening, and communication skills through a moot court simulation. They receive a fact pattern and case summaries, collaborate to develop their theory of the case, and play the roles of both advocates and judges, analyzing a problem from multiple angles. Students engage with a challenging legal question, develop and defend an argument, consider alternative resolutions, and find complexity and nuance in a realistic fact pattern involving people like themselves.
