CORE-103 Encounter AU: The Idea of a University (1)

In this course, students explore what it means to be part of a university: not just a collection of buildings and rules, but a living community of people, ideas, and transformation. Each week offers a new perspective on this shared space, equipping students with the skills, knowledge, and mindset necessary to navigate and succeed in college. Students engage with key themes such as intellectual freedom, the responsibilities of citizenship within an academic community, and the evolving role of higher education in society. In addition to class meetings, students are expected to engage in co-curricular events, activities, and/or excursions. AU Core Foundation: AU Experience I. Usually Offered: fall. Grading: A-F only. Note: Students may not receive credit toward a degree for both CORE-102 and CORE-103.
