GOVT-730 Seminar in Comparative Politics (3)
Topics vary by section, may be repeated for credit with different topic. Analysis and critique of major theoretical approaches to the study of comparative politics in developed and developing worlds. Historical and theoretical foundations of the nation-state; political issues that arise from social change; and approaches to determining the relative autonomy of state institutions. Usually offered every fall. Prerequisite: admission to PhD program.
