Refinement of basic language skills in a cultural context. Expansion of vocabulary and grammatical structures and further development of communicative skills. Content focuses on cultural patterns in the German- speaking world. One class per week emphasizes oral communication skills. Usually offered every fall. Prerequisite:GERM-133 or equivalent.
