ECON-377 U.S. Domestic Economic Policy (3) Current issues in domestic economic policymaking in Washington, DC are analyzed in this course. It begins with an assessment of the state of the U.S. economy and the well-being of the American people. Macroeconomic policies, both fiscal and monetary, are studied in the current context and also in the recent past of the Great Recession and financial crisis. The microeconomics of health care reform and energy and environmental policies are also analyzed. Usually offered every fall. Prerequisite: ECON-100 and ECON-200 .
