Admission to the Program


Formal admission to the major requires a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 (on a 4.00 scale) and departmental approval.

Major Requirements


  • 62 credit hours with grades of C or better, including at least 40 credit hours at or above 300-level
  • Maximum 6 credit hours of CSC coursework may be substituted for relevant non-CSC coursework with the approval of the program director

Tracks: Breadth of Knowledge (12 credit hours)


Complete 12 credit hours from the following, including 3 credit hours from each of the following tracks:

Tracks: Depth of Knowledge (12 credit hours)


Complete 12 credit hours from one of the following tracks:

Note: The course applied to the breadth of knowledge requirement cannot be double counted in this requirement. Students may substitute a custom track developed with the approval of the program director and consisting of a minimum of 6 credit hours of CSC coursework.

Capstone (6 credit hours)
