Social Responsibility (Undergraduate Certificate)

Offered by the College of Arts and Sciences , Frederick Douglass Distinguished Scholars are required to complete this 14-credit, cohort-based, four-year certificate within four years. By pursuing multidisciplinary approaches to moral leadership, the certificate is designed to create socially-responsible leaders who are critical thinkers and engaged activists in the tradition of the American abolitionist and social reformer Frederick Douglass.

Admission to the Program

New freshmen students are admitted through the university’s Admissions Office. Due to the intensive cohort-based nature of the program, it is not possible to transfer into the certificate program.
