Pre-Medicine (Undergraduate Certificate)

Offered by the College of Arts and Sciences , the Pre-Medicine certificate provides students with a structured way to complete the core science courses required for applications to medical school and other health professional programs, regardless of their major. Students are required to meet with the certificate director to plan appropriate courses and ensure completion of the certificate prior to graduation.

Admission to the Program
Open to any undergraduate planning to attend a health professional graduate program, including medical school, dental school, veterinary medical school, pharmacy school, physician assistant programs, physical therapy programs, or optometry school. Certificate Requirements
- 16 credit hours with grades of C or better
Note: Most health professional programs require a B or better in these courses to be a competitive applicant. Most courses have prerequisites to registration thus it is critical that students consult the Pre-Med advisor to determine the timing and sequencing of their coursework. - Compliance with all regulations for a certificate (Undergraduate Academic Regulation 10.3 )

Complete 8 credit hours from the following: Note: CHEM-310 and CHEM-312 should be taken together. Students cannot receive credit for both PHYS-205 and PHYS-210 . |
